Camping Facilities
Fifteen campsites spread over a fenced area of 5 acres, each separated by indigenous bush and trees for a private, natural experience. Five sites include private ablution facilities; the remaining ten share a well-maintained ablution block with separate facilities for male and female guests.

Swimming Pool
A shared pool to cool off during warm Bushveld days, with a deck overlooking the open reserve.
Ablution Blocks
5 sites with private ablutions. Remaining sites share clean blocks with separate showers & toilets for male and female guests.

Each campsite has a dedicated braai facility. Sit around the fire under a sky full of Bushveld stars.

Whether you prefer the freedom of a self-drive or the insight of a guided experience, Dinokeng offers remarkable ways to encounter its wildlife up close.
Self-Drive (Southern Area)
Selfdrive routes in the south of the reserve can be used by guests in their own vehicle to explore the fauna and flora of Dinokeng at your own pace, and to visit the various picnic sites scattered throughout.

Guided Game Drive (Northern Area)
Guided game drives into the northern area — where lion and elephant are more frequently seen — can be booked with Wildlife Enterprises at the Barn at Safari Mall, approximately 2 km from the camp. Guided drives in the south can also be arranged by management.

Wildlife of Dinokeng
Dinokeng is one of South Africa's prime birdwatching areas, ranked second only to Ndumo in the St Lucia area in terms of bird species diversity — making this a true twitcher's paradise.
The close proximity of water, grassland and bushveld habitats attracts a remarkable variety of birds within a relatively small area. Whether you're a serious birder or simply enjoy the morning chorus from your campsite, Dinokeng will not disappoint.
The greater Dinokeng area covers approximately 281 000 ha of rural land, incorporating Roodeplaat, Cullinan, Rayton and open bushveld north of the Moloto Road (R573).
